The Woman in White opened at the Palace Theatre in London on September 16, 2004. In July 2005 the show was revised with an almost completely new cast. The new version ran until February 25, 2006. It received generally good reviews, and was nominated for five Olivier Awards, winning two for Best Performance in a Supporting Role (Michael Crawford) and Best Sound Design. A Broadway production opened at the Marquis Theatre on November 17, 2005 and closed on February 19, 2006, after health problems for some of the leading cast.
