Wicked premiered in San Francisco, playing there from May 28 to June 29, 2003. It began previews at the Gershwin Theatre in New York on October 8, 2003, and officially opened on October 30. The show was nominated for 10 Tony Awards, and won three, including Best Actress for Idina Menzel. It continues to play in New York A national tour began in Toronto, Canada in the spring of 2005. It is booked through until 2007, you can check the official site for tour dates and locations! Also, after the tour plays Chicago, a new permanent production will open there, in June of 2005. |
