Billy Wilder’s Sunset Boulevard is widely recognized as one of the best movies ever made, and was recently named #12 on the American Film Institute’s “100 Greatest Films of All Time”. It takes a harsh look at life in Hollywood, and is comic, dramatic, and ultimately tragic. Read a bit more about the original film, or a bit about the
history of the musical.

I have three different recordings of this show, and enjoy two of them. 🙂 Read my reviews of the CDs, or listen to a clip from one of my favourite songs.

If you’d like to play the music for yourself, take a look at the sheet music that’s available.

I bought tickets to the Toronto production of this show for September 1, 1996. However, the show ended up closing early, so I was unable to go! I didn’t have another chance to see it until the national tour came to Ottawa in 2000 – you can read my thoughts on that performance.

I have really enjoyed several of the actors on the different recordings – take a look at my thoughts on some of the performers that have been in this show.

Once you’re done looking around here, check out some of the other Sunset Boulevard websites that are out there.
