Quote of the day: “La supreme bonheur de la vie – c’est la conviction qu’on est aime” – Les Miserables
Well, I’ve totally wasted this day so far…I’m supposed to be studying for my Canadian politics test tomorrow and packing to go home, but instead I’ve been doing minor housekeeping stuff on my webpages and putting up my new Les Mis pages, and all that stuff. Which is all stuff that needed to be done, but it’s not going to help me tomorrow night when I’m freaking out ’cause I haven’t studied or packed. 🙂
Anyway, I wrote my Russian history exam last night, and I think it went okay. The prof’s wife baked us cookies to eat during the exam!!! That was a first for me. 🙂 I wrote a lengthy essay on the role of the church on Russian history, which is a subject I knew more about than I would have thought I did. 🙂 But we’ll see how it went when I get it back, I suppose!
Oh yeah! I got my hair cut on Friday! 🙂 It’s *reeeeeeally* short, but I love it! It’s so short that my natural curl is totally gone, so it’s just straight and nice. And it took me about 2 minutes to do this morning, and that’s always good! I know it’s going to bother me when I want to put it up and can’t, but for now, I’m loving it!
I’m also loving this snow outside…IT’S ABOUT TIME!! We finally had a big snowfall yesterday, and although it started to rain partway through the afternoon, most of it is still on the ground. That makes me so happy! It also finally got me in the mood to listen to Christmas music, which I hadn’t done very much yet. But listening to Anthony’s O Holy Night a few (hundred) times over again could make anyone feel Christmas-y. 🙂
And speaking of Christmas, I got some presents! First off, I think I forgot to say that Alison got me the coolest figurine to add to my Christmas town (I have a porcelain Victorian Christmas town at home, whose population grows each year. :-). Anyway, she got me Eliza Doolittle and her flower cart! It’s so perfect! And then, one of my housemates actually bought me an entire new miniature town, since I have to leave my big one at home until I settle somewhere permanently! This one just has three buildings, but it’s really cute, and she said she went through all of them until she found the one that was perfect for me…it has a church, a general store, and a theatre. 🙂
I’m so behind on my own Christmas shopping though…I still haven’t found anything for my mom, and she actually bought stuff for me for both my brothers and my dad, ’cause I hadn’t had time to go look yet. I’ve just been so busy all this month! I don’t know where it’s gone! But only five days till Christmas now! Yay!! 🙂
Okay, I’m really going to stop procrastinating now and go do some studying. After I just do one more thing on my page… 🙂
