Listen to me, I have beautiful dreams I can spin you…

In a way, it’s someone else’s story
I don’t see myself as taking part at all

Ethan Freeman as Jekyll/Hyde…I can’t wait to see him!
(The image is for my new Ethan site…coming soon! 🙂

Well, I’m officially done my job for the summer…YAY!!! I’m very glad it’s over. It wasn’t particularly strenuous or anything, but I just feel like now I can get on with the rest of my life, you know? When I leave this town, it will be for the last time!!! (Well, besides Christmas and stuff…you know what I mean!) And though I don’t really want to go back to Ottawa, it’s still better than here.

I went to see Eyes Wide Shut on Tuesday night. Now, I only went because it’s a Tom Cruise movie, and I’ve seen like every Tom movie there’s ever been, and the last 5 or so in the theatre, so I just had to go. Well. It was strange. To say the least. I had a feeling I wouldn’t get it, and I didn’t. 🙂 If there was a point, it went totally over my head. The only thing I could really gather was the point was that we should be happy with our ordinary lives, rather than looking for adventure and something new. But it was just weird. The highlight was definitely Alan Cumming’s brief appearance…that almost made the whole two and a half hours worthwhile. 🙂

I’m going to Edmonton tomorrow to do some shopping and stuff, and to visit my sister’s apartment…I haven’t seen it yet. It’s actually a little family outing…both my parents are going as well, and my other sister. It’s been eight months since I’ve been to West Edmonton Mall. I think this must be a record or something. I’ll have to go on the Mindbender while I’m there, just to get my fix. Who knows when the next time I go will be.

My dad’s starting a new job this year and he’s really excited about it. I think I’m like him in a lot of ways…I can’t stay happy in the same place for too long. We both need to have a change of pace, and new surroundings every now and then. I know that’s why we moved around so much when I was growing up, and I think it’s rubbed off on me. But, when I’m done school, I definitely don’t want to be in Ottawa anymore. Maybe Toronto. Or London. Or New York. 🙂

Phantom’s closing date in Toronto has been moved back!! This really excites me, because it means I might actually be able to go now! It’s going to be Halloween night, rather than Sept. 26. Halloween also happens to be one week after my birthday, so I hear a Phantom ticket being asked for already… 😉

I suppose that’s all the excitement in my life for now…there’s tons of stress too, but I won’t bore you with all those details. Have a good weekend!
