Quote of the day: “It’s much more boundaried….boundaried? Yeah, I went to grad school!” –Douglas Sills

First and foremost, happy belated Easter to everyone! I didn’t have a chance to get on here at all yesterday since I had to work, but I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday. I went to the Easter Vigil at my church on Saturday night, and it was THREE HOURS LONG! I think that’s a little much. 🙂 I mean, I love a good vigil as much as the next guy, but there are limits. It was a very pretty service though.

And the most newsworthy news of the day would be that I’ve accepted the Livent offer! I’m not quite sure yet exactly how I’m going to afford it, but this means that in less than a month, I’ll be living in New York!!!! I’ve had this line from Song and Dance running through my head all day: “New York is just short of perfection, they say…the one thing it lacks is me!” 🙂 I am really just bouncing-off-the-walls thrilled about all of this, and I’ve been telling everybody I know that if they want to come stay with me in the summer, they’re more than welcome! Now I just need to find a place to live. 🙂

Tomorrow night is the Willie Awards, which are the theatre awards for our university. Don’t ask me why they’re called the Willie’s, I don’t know. 🙂 We’re doing it very formal though, so I’m all excited ’cause I get to wear my theatre dress. 🙂 Apparently the kinds of awards they give out are pretty wacky, so I’m sure it’ll be a good time.

Another out-of-the-ordinary thing that happened today is that I got an award! 🙂 My Russian history prof gave out a book award for the best term paper of the year, and I won it! So I got 6 books, on Russian history and literature, all of which look very interesting. It’s been so long since I won something…it feels really good! 🙂 I want to send him a thank-you note or something, but I’m a little worried that it would look like sucking up before the exam. 🙂

Also, I just got my hands on the latest Scarlet Pimpernel video compilation, and have been busy obsessing over one Douglas Sills for the past few days. 🙂 That man is just too amazing. He makes me laugh so much! There were a couple of really good quotes I wanted to add to my quote page, but of course I didn’t write them down at the time, so I’ll have to watch the video again and get them. Oh, the pain of it all. 😉

Anyway, ’tis getting late…Melanie, if you read this, I’ll call you prob’ly Thursday night…I don’t think I’ll be home until then. And for the rest of you, now that you all know way more about my schedule than you wanted to know, I’ll say goodbye. 🙂
