Going to do after this: Pick up my English essay (maybe), do some groceries and go home

I just wrote one of my exams – I now only have one more left (on Saturday), and I’m finished!! It’s weird – I wasn’t worried about this exam until last night, and I stressed about it from then till now, but when I saw it, it was fine. I don’t know if I did brilliantly or anything, but I’m not too worried about it. I’m just glad it’s over.

Hi to Karen in New York! Thanks for the postcard! πŸ™‚

I hope everyone had a nice Easter! Mine was fairly uneventful. We had a *wonderful* Holy Thursday service, with Father and a bunch of high school students acting out the Last Supper. We got to sing “Day By Day” from Godspell and “Could We Start Again Please?” and “I Don’t Know How to Love Him” from Superstar, so you know I enjoyed that! πŸ™‚ Then Thursday night (or Friday morning, technically), I went to the church from about 3 in the morning till 4:30 where they were having exposition of the sacrament, just to think and pray for a while. Friday was the Good Friday service, which was very nice, though the church was *packed*!! The veneration of the cross took 45 minutes!! Friday night they did a re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross which was really good. And then Saturday night I went to the Easter Vigil, which was also very nice, even if it was 3 hours.

So that was basically my Easter…on the actual day, I didn’t go to church at all, but went to the movies instead. πŸ™‚ I saw “The Cider House Rules” and “Magnolia”. I was a little disappointed with the first one, but overall it was okay. I knew the second would be a little odd, and I wasn’t disappointed there. πŸ™‚ I thought it was okay overall, but really depressing. At least “American Beauty” was uplifting in the end – “Magnolia” wasn’t.

I also watched the NCAA women’s gymnastics championships yesterday just for fun (okay, and to avoid studying). They were really good. But I was amazed by how many of them had their knees and ankles and everything wrapped up. And they were talking about how some of them had already had a couple of knee surgeries and everything. It reminded me of my cousin who was a gymnast until she fell from the uneven bars and broke and dislocated both of her elbows. Why would you do that to your body??

I’m still in the midst of the job search – I still kind of feel like I should wait until my last exam is over before I *really* throw myself into it, but I’ve applied lots of places, and other things have come up, so we’ll see what happens. It’s kind of scary, really, all these big life choices. I just hope I don’t screw up.

At any rate, I ought to get over and pick up my essay before they close. Have a wonderful week everyone!
