My Life

April 23:

Back at work after a fun but busy weekend! Alison got here Friday night and we went out to dinner and to Cabaret. The show was good, though the theatre was half empty. Got to talk to Andrea McArdle briefly afterwards. Then we went home and watched Brent and Anthony in Kiss of the Spider Woman…very cool. 🙂 Saturday we went to see Bridget Jones’s Diary (fun!!) and then to Hamilton to see Stars on Ice, which was really great. I hadn’t been to a skating show in ages, and this one was really good, especially because it was the performance they’re going to show on CBC when they broadcast the tour, and so at the end of the night, everybody that screwed up had to come out and do retakes. It was so funny! I think Alison is adding quotes to her page, so be sure to check those out.

I also did a bit of work in the garden on Sunday, which was such a gorgeous day! Got my peas planted at least. We thought we lost Tiger too, but he fooled us. I had pretty much given up on finding him and figured he’d just have to get home by himself, and went and laid on my bed upstairs, and he jumped up beside me. I have no idea where he was.

Today’s beautiful too, so I’m gonna walk home from the subway station. I’ve got to stop at the grocery store too. And now I’ve gotta get back to work! 🙂

So, the new version of the site is up! I decided to go with something a little more simple. I haven’t decided if I like it yet or not, but we’ll all have to live with it for at least a couple of months, until I get that urge to change it again. 🙂

Alison’s coming up on Friday! I’ve been looking forward to it all week – both because I’m excited about the weekend, and because this week at work has been really rough. And it’s only Wednesday! Ugh!!

I’ve got my mother 95% convinced that she’s coming to visit me in July. I’m so excited about that! I’ve got tons of stuff planned already for while she’s here – I’m going to run the poor woman off her feet! But it will be so nice to actually have the money to look after her and give her a treat for a change. I’m also going to finally go and see The Lion King while she’s here, because she wants to see it. I’m actually quite surprised that I’ve been here for almost 8 months and haven’t seen it yet!
