Previews of Spamalot began in Chicago’s Shubert Theatre on December 21, 2004; the show officially opened there on January 9, 2005. The show Spamalot opened at the Shubert Theatre in New York on March 17, 2005, where it continues to play. It was nominated for fourteen Tony Awards and won three, for Best Musical, Best Direction and Best Featured Actress (Sara Ramirez). There is talk of a production in Las Vegas as well as a national tour, which begins in March of 2006 in Boston. |
