Part intrigue, part love story, part swashbuckling action, The Scarlet Pimpernel has something for everybody! Read the story of the show in all its various versions.

Or, for a much more complete picture of the show, take a look through the lyrics from all productions.

Baroness Orczy claims that Percy appeared to her on a subway platform in London, and since then, he’s taken over the imagination of countless people around the world. Take a look at some of the Baroness’ novels or films that have been made on the subject.

This is a show that went through an amazing number of changes and revisions in its relatively brief professional run. Read more about the development of the show.

This is the only show I’ve ever actually tried to write a piece of fanfic about! It’s not finished, but take a look at what I’ve got so far, if you’re interested.

There are four recordings of this show available so far, which are all pretty different, and are a good indication of the changes that the show has gone through. Read my reviews of the CDs, or listen to clips from the various recordings.

If you want to play or sing the music for yourself, there is also sheet music available.

I’ve seen this show the second-most times out of anything (just behind Phantom), but most of these were within a pretty short time, and with the same cast, in New York. I’ve written reviews for all of those times, some more in depth than others, so feel free to browse through some of my experiences.

Undoubtedly one reason I fell in love with this show was the brilliant performers that were on stage.
