Music by: Henry Krieger
Directed by: Robert Longbottom

Book and Lyrics by: Bill Russell
Based on the true story of Daisy and Violet Hilton

Side Show is based on the true life story of Daisy and Violet Hilton, conjoined twins who left a carnival freak show to star in Vaudeville and how they must learn to balance two different lives into one. Read the complete synopsis.

For a more detailed look at the show, browse through the lyrics.

Violet and Daisy Hilton are two of the best-known conjoined twins, thanks to a successful entertainment career including vaudeville performance and films. Find out more about the real twins, or read a bit about the development of the musical.

There’s only one recording of this show so far: the Broadway cast recording. It’s a great recording though, and gives you a real feel for the show. Read my review of the CD, or listen to a clip from one of my favourite songs.

This show had a very short run on Broadway, and unfortunately, I wasn’t able to see it there. Hopefully I’ll be able to see some production of it, somewhere! I’ll be sure to add my thoughts here when I do.

Since I haven’t seen the show yet, all my favourite performers come from the recording – take a look at my thoughts on some of them.

Once you’re done looking around here, check out some of the other Side Show websites that are out there.
