World Premiere Recording (Canadian cast). I personally think that naming this cast recording the “World Premiere Recording” is a little misleading, so I tend to refer to it as the Canadian cast recording. 🙂 Anyway, it is the recording of the 1993 Hal Prince revival, and is a great representation of that production and its cast. Rebecca Luker is a beautiful Magnolia, while Michel Bell and Lonette McKee are wonderful in their roles as well. This production used the song “I Have the Room Above Her”, not in the original production, and it is one of the 22 songs on the recording. It’s not a show that I listen to very often, but whenever I do, I really enjoy it, and I don’t think you can go wrong with this recording. |
