Original Broadway Cast. My first reaction upon seeing the show on stage was that the music was better than the show, and I think this recording proves my point. While the show didn’t grab me that much on stage, the CD is great! “Oh the Thinks You Can Think” is on its way to being one of my favourite songs, and I really like “Notice Me, Horton” and “Alone in the Universe” as well. There’s a real sense of fun that comes across on the recording – you can tell they enjoyed making it. Janine LaManna and Kevin Chamberlin both sound wonderful, and the orchestrations are fabulous. If you’re curious about the show, definitely give this a try! |
