The Secret Garden opened April 25, 1991 on Broadway at the St. James Theatre and ran for 706 performances. It was nominated for 7 Tony Awards, and won 3 – for Best Featured Actress, Best Book, and Best Scenic Design. It was mounted in Australia in 1995 to critical aclaim. Most recently, the Royal Shakespeare Company produced the show in Stratford-Upon-Avon before moving to the Aldwych Theatre in London on February 17, 2001, where it closed on June 2, 2001. |
