Anthony Warlow. What a surprise I would list him first, eh? 🙂 He played Archibald Craven in the Australian production, and his interpretation of the role is wonderful. | Philip Quast. Another fabulous singer and actor, who has actually played both male leads in this show! It’s hard to get a very good idea of his interpretation of Dr. Craven from the one song he sings on the Australian CD, but I’ve heard from people who saw the show that he really added a depth and insight to the character that wasn’t there before. Mandy Patinkin. Archibald Craven in the original Broadway cast…he really knows how to move you!! I cried the first time I listened to his performance on the OBC. | Rebecca Luker. She has such a beautiful voice!! I love everything I’ve heard her in, and TSG is no exception. Lily can’t be the easiest role to bring to life (since the character’s dead :-), but she does a wonderful job!! Robert Westenberg. This is another performer that continually impresses me. His Dr. Craven is great…you get to hear a lot more of it than you do of Philip Quast’s, and he does a really good job in all his parts! |
| Marina Prior. I am so incredibly jealous of this woman, for being able to be in this show opposite Anthony Warlow and Philip Quast!! 🙂 But she definitely holds her own next to those powerful voices. I love her “How Could I Ever Know?”, although I don’t really like her voice with Anthony’s!! I’m not sure why! Anyway, the Marina Prior HomePage is a great place to learn about Marina! |
