Susan Rigvava-Dumas. I must confess that I hadn’t heard of her before this show, but her performance as Mrs. Danvers is just perfect. Through just the recording, you can feel exactly the type of person that Mrs. Danvers is – the strictness and obsessiveness and craziness all come through, and she has such power and control. | Wietske van Tongeren. Another new discovery from this show, Wietske made a great first impression when I listened to the cast recording. She has a lovely pure voice, and has the right mix of vulnerability and growth throughout the show, leading up to her triumphant “Mrs de Winter bin ich!”. Uwe Kröger. What can I say? I’m a fan, and obviously so are Kunze and Levay, since they keep casting him in all their shows! Maxim is a much more restrained character than many of the other ones he’s played, but he does a great job with it, and of course, sings it beautifully.
