Original Broadway Cast Recording. This is one of those shows where you really don’t have to see the show on stage to be able to enjoy the wonderful recording. The show won a Tony for its score, and it’s easy to see why. The music is delightfully different from most of what you hear on Broadway today, and really is a seamless score, rather than a collection of songs. The cast are all fantastic, with special mention going to Victoria Clark, who just shines. Whether you’ve seen the show or not, you should definitely check this out. |
