The Original Broadway Cast Recording. With such beautiful music and such fabulous performers, could this recording be anything other than wonderful?? It really is just great, and I know many, many people who never saw the show, but have fallen in love with this recording. Though I would have preferred a complete recording, especially since many people who haven’t seen it get a little confused, I’m really just thankful that this was released at all. Brent Carver is perfection, of course. “The Old Red Hills of Home” is gorgeous, as is almost everything else. The orchestrations are great, and the rest of the cast is supurb as well. I really just can’t think of anything bad to say about it!! It was my first introduction to Jason Robert Brown, and it made me a huge fan – it might do the same to you too! |
