Warum kannst du mich nicht lieben – Mozart!

Yngve Gasoy Romdal Yngve Gasoy Romdal. Okay, I have no idea how to say his name. 🙂 And, I was a little surprised when I first saw the pictures from the show, because he doesn’t look like what I imagine Mozart as, but after listening to him, it’s all forgotten. He’s got a great voice, and he brings out several sides of Mozart’s character, and in the end makes him someone the audience can identify with and cares about, which is pretty important when the show is all about that character. For more about Yngve, visit his official website.
Dolhai Attila. He is one of the men playing Wolfgang in Budapest, and the one that I saw when I saw the show there! He was really great on stage – seemingly endless energy, a very childlike quality that was very endearing, and a fantastic voice on top of it all! His version of “Miért nem fogadsz el engem?” was one of the highlights of the show for me! Dolhai Attila
Ethan Freeman Ethan Freeman. Although I didn’t get to see Ethan in this role (not that I’m bitter or anything ;-), I can easily imagine him doing a wonderful job. It’s a bit of a departure from the kind of roles he usually plays, but the music suits his voice perfectly, and I’ve heard that he brought a lot of layers to the role. Uwe Kröger. He was Colloredo on the Vienna recording, and he’s really perfect on all his songs. I was already a fan from his performance as Death in Elisabeth, and this just clinched it! As I’ve mentioned (a few times), “Wie kann es möglich sein?” is my new favourite song, and it’s due in a large part to his great rendition of it. For more, visit the Uwe Kröger Website.
