Lea Salonga. This show was her big break, and I’ve loved everything she’s done. She was the first one I heard as Kim, and I have yet to hear a Kim that I didn’t think sounded “Lea-ish”. 🙂 Anyway, check out Lea Salonga Online to learn more! |

Simon Bowman. To be honest, I’ve never heard a Chris that I REALLY liked, but Simon is pretty close! His version of “Why God Why” is really great. And I’ve enjoyed him in some things that he’s done since as well. You can find more a brief biography at this site. |
Peter Cousens. I like his Chris pretty well too, although maybe not quite as much as Simon. But he’s really fabulous in other roles I’ve heard him in as well. You can find out a lot more about him at the Official Peter Cousens Website. |

Uwe Kröger. I’ve been a fan of his since hearing him on the Vienna cast recording of Elisabeth, and he does a great job as Chris. I think he really captures that sense of someone who destroys things not because he wants to or means to, but simply because of what he is. Claire Moore. I really like her interpretation of Ellen. It’s not an easy character to play, since the audience has already had the whole show to sympathize with Kim, but she does manage to make her a sympathetic character! You can read a biography of her for more information! |

Jonathan Pryce. This incredibly talented actor created the role of the Engineer, and I can’t imagine anyone doing it quite like him. This was my first exposure to him, and I’ve been thoroughly impressed by everything I’ve seen since. Check out this Jonathan Pryce Fan Page for more about him. |

Charles Azulay. Perhaps I’m a little strange on this point, but I LOVE the character of Thuy! His parts are so wonderful!! He has some of the nicest musical moments in the entire show. And I adore Charles in this role. |
Peter Polycarpou. A friend and I used to have a running joke that Peter seemed to turn up everywhere – so we weren’t at all surprised when he turned out to be in this show. 🙂 His version of “Bui Doi” is really wonderful! |
