On a Greek island, a wedding is about to take place. But first, the bride is determined to be reunited with the father she’s never met – only problem is, there are three possible candidates! As all three arrive for the wedding, all unaware of why they’ve been invited, things get more and more complicated….but don’t worry, it all ends happily! Read the complete synopsis.

There are all the ABBA songs you know and love, with a few minor tweaks and changes here and there to adapt them to the story. Take a look at the cast recording lyrics!

Mamma Mia isn’t the first musical they’ve made based on the infectious pop songs made famous by ABBA, but it’s by far the most successful one!

In April of 1974, the group won the Eurovision Song contest with “Waterloo”, and the rest is history! They are one of the most successful groups in history, and besides Mamma Mia! have gone on to write 2 other musicals…so far! Read more about the amazing career of ABBA, or read more about the development of the musical.

There’s a few different recordings of this show now, but I’ve still only got one. I’ll try to get my hands on at least the Hamburg one very soon. For now, you can read my review of the London CD, or listen to a clip from one of my favourite songs.

I knew I would probably like this show when I went to see it, but if someone had told me I’d see it 8 times in 2 years, I’d have thought they were crazy! But it’s just so much fun, it’s hard to stay away! Read about my various experiences with the show.

One of the great things about this show is that it doesn’t need a “star” name to sell it, so it’s a great way to encounter some new performers! Read a bit more about some of my favourites.

Once you’re done looking around here, check out some of the other Mamma Mia! sites that are out there.
