Original Cast. I got this recording *after* seeing the show on stage, so I had the advantage of already knowing the story. I think that if you’re not familiar with it, it might be a little difficult to make it out from the CD, but it’s worth the effort. This is a show with a fun, lively score and great lyrics. The performances on this recording are also great, in particular Evan Pappas as Harry and Mary Testa as Rita. It sounds like exactly what it is – an intimate, entertaining show that also produced an entertaining CD! |
