The original production of Little Shop of Horrors played off-Broadway in New York, opening July 27, 1982 at the Orpheum Theatre, and playing for 2209 performances. The new revival, and first Broadway production, began previews at the Virginia Theatre in New York on August 29, 2003, and officially opened on October 2. This production closed on August 22, 2004.
There have been productions in the U.K., Germany, Spain, Italy, France and Iceland, among others. This show is a huge favourite of regional and amateur theatres around the world, and can almost always be seen somewhere near you! |
