Evan Newman. I don’t think I ever actually saw him as Gavroche, but I’ve heard him, and he sounds wonderful. I also emailed him a few times, and he’s one of the most thoughtful, intelligent kids I’ve ever come across. And he even helped me try to discover the plural of Enjolras! 🙂 (Of course, that was several years ago – he’s probably not such a kid anymore anyway! 🙂 |
J.P. Dougherty. I’ve seen Les Mis 8 times, and he’s the only Thenardier I’ve ever seen! I’m not complaining though. He does a wonderful job of Master of the House, and throughout the whole show. Read his bio here. |

Jeffrey Jacob Tauber Hyke. The kid with a million names. 🙂 He was a great Gavroche, and one of the very few that I’ve actually seen make the throw of the bullet bag over the barricade! He’s also just adorable, and can sing too. Some kids have all the luck. 🙂 |
Sharron Matthews. She’s the Madame Thenardier I’ve seen the most, and I thought she complemented J.P. perfectly. She played the laughs perfectly, and I’m sure she has a lovely voice if the role would allow her to just sing! 🙂 Read her bio at the Third National Tour site. |

Aymee Garcia. Another Madame Thenardier I saw in Toronto, she did a lot of things differently than Sharron, but they were still very funny and worked very well! I was also impressed with her chemistry with J.P., considering she was the understudy at this time. Read her bio at the Third National Tour site. |
