Anthony Warlow. What can I say about this man?? His Enjolras is so utterly compelling, I don’t for one second doubt that the students would follow him wherever he led. His voice is nothing short of perfection. Alright, so he’s my all-time favourite performer, so I might be a little biased. 🙂 Still, I don’t know anyone who doesn’t think he’s great in this role! Michael Maguire. That OTHER Enjolras. 🙂 There are great debates among Les Mis fans about which of these two, Anthony or Michael, is the better Enjolras. I think it’s pretty clear where my loyalties lie, but I DO enjoy Michael’s performance very much as well, especially on the OBC. He can be seen every now and then with Bravo Broadway in a city near you! |
Gary Mauer. He was the Enjolras that I saw the first time I saw the show. He played upon the impassioned quality of the character more than the stateliness, but I found it very effective. I really enjoyed his performance overall. I’ve also seen him as Raoul in Phantom, and really enjoyed him in that role as well, though I think overall he made a better Enjolras. 🙂 Read a little more about Gary at Raoul’s Realm. |

Doug Storm. Okay, I never saw him as Enjolras. He was in the cast, as a student, the first time I saw Les Mis, and though I don’t remember much about his performance in particular, I’ve heard enough good things from other people, and have seen enough good things in other performances of his, to know that he must have been great. |
Anthony Crivello. This guy can say more with one look than most people could say in the whole show. Plus he’s just got an incredible voice…I’m sure he was amazing as Javert! I so wish I could have seen him do that role. But I love watching him as Grantaire in the 10th anniversary concert as well. For more about Anthony, visit The Anthony Crivello Appreciation Page. |

Stephen Bishop. I saw him as both Javert and Grantaire, and he was wonderful in both roles! My friend Alison and I had a blast watching him as Grantaire throughout the whole show…he is constantly acting! And he’s hilarious! 🙂 |
