Les Misérables opened at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto on March 7, 1989, and played there until May of 1990, when the cast embarked on a Canadian tour. There have been two subsequent tours, including a bilingual cast that performed the show in both English and French in three cities, as well as the U.S. touring casts making stops in Canada. This is information on the original Canadian cast.
