My mom and I decided to go to the show sort of as a last minute thing. We’d already seen Phantom and Cats in the last couple of months, and the rest of our family figured we really didn’t need to go see another show. 🙂 But, when my mom realized it was Donny Osmond playing Joseph, we just had to go!
We were sitting in the fifth row, and just had a wonderful time! Donny Osmond was wonderful as Joseph. I especially loved his confused looks whenever something strange was going on around him … particularly with the go-go dancers in his cell, or during the whole “Song of the King”. And, of course, his “Close Every Door” was brilliant. Janet Metz was a fantastic narrator too – what a voice that woman has! And my mother, being a big Elvis fan as well, really enjoyed Johnny Seaton’s Pharaoh. All in all it was a really fun show, and also the first time I ever got to see a cast perform that I had heard on CD! I’m so glad we decided to go!
“Aw, why not?”
Me, when my mother told me could *not* go backstage as we passed the door on our way out of the theatre
