Jesper Tydén is a native of Stockholm, Sweden. He studied at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, during which time he was involved with the Swedish Folk Opera and several chamber choirs. He continued his education at Göteborg University, in the School of Theatre and Opera. While there, he was involved in productions of Chess and Les Misérables, as well as a new musical, S.O.S..
His first professional engagement was in Disney’s Hunchback of Notre Dame in Berlin, where he understudied the role of Captain Phoebus. Currently, he can be seen as Crown Prince Rudolf in Elisabeth in Essen, where he is also the alternate for the lead role of Death.
Jesper is currently working on a recording of original compositions, and can be heard on the Essen Cast Recording of Elisabeth.
