Original Broadway Cast. The best thing about this recording is definitely the cast – Tony award winner John Lloyd Young in particular. They recreate the sound of the Four Seasons songs faithfully, and there’s a good energy in the recording. There is some dialogue included, which gives a flavour of the stage show, but isn’t really enough to follow along with the story. If you just want to listen to the songs, the narration can be a little annoying – but then, if you just want to listen to the songs, it’d be better to get a Four Seasons Greatest Hits CD instead! |
