These are just a few of my favourite performers who have been in this show!

Bernadette Peters. I tend to think she’s pretty much brilliant in whatever she does, and Into the Woods is no exception. As the Witch, she goes from being funny to being scary, from causing pain to suffering from it, and always with the same openness and beautiful voice that make her so much fun to watch in any role. Find out much more about this amazing performer at the Official Bernadette Peters Site. |
Joanna Gleason. Usually somebody who wins the Tony for their work in a show is not too bad in it. 🙂 Every single line she sings or says as the Baker’s wife is full of emotion, full of meaning. I’d love to see her do more on stage! To learn more, you can visit Joanna Gleason.com. |

Robert Westenberg. Another performer that I pretty much love every time he shows up in something! His Wolf is my favourite part of this (he’s so deliciously bad in “Hello Little Girl”), but he’s great in all his bits as Cinderella’s Prince as well, especially Agony! There’s a bio for him at this Javert site. |
Chuck Wagner. He didn’t have the biggest part in this show, but together with Robert Westenberg, Agony (and the reprise) are some of my favourite favourite bits. Add to that that he has a really wonderful voice, and is great in everything else I’ve seen him in, and he just has to be on this list. 🙂 Visit Chuck Wagner Online for more! |
