From Dee May:
I had the privelege of attending your performance of Bravo Broadway at the Blossom Music Center this July with the Cleveland Orchestra. I am unable to walk very well, so my daughter and son-in-law came backstage and you autographed my CD I purchased there for me. Thank you so much!! That made my day. I hope you will be performing next summer at Blossom again (and autographing CDs). Do you currently have a CD out with the song “Bring Him Home” on it? I would love to purchase it.
Looking forward to seeing you perform again. Your performances are “awesome”.
Sincerely,
Dee May (referred to as Gramma Dee)
Dear Gramma Dee,
Thanks for logging on and for your compliments. It is always an honor
to to sing at Blossom, and last Saturday was memorable for all three of
us. The weather was ideal, the crowd was fantastic (about 8000), and
The Cleveland Orchestra played expertly. Rebecca Luker and Debbie
Gravitte are great colleagues and truly gifted singers.
I hope to see you again at Blossom. In the meantime, I should get to
work on recording Bring Him Home for you!
Sincerely,
Doug LaBrecque
From Frank McIlmail:
BRAVO! BRAVO! BRAVO! A thrilling performance last evening in Minneapolis. I am a musical theater buff and your rendition of “somewhere Over the Rainbow” was exhilarating. Thanks, again, for a memorable night in the theater.
From Lisa Vaughn:
I saw your Bravo Broadway performance yesterday in Evansville, Indiana with the Evansville Philharmonic Orchestra.
It was a wonderful performance! I have seen Phantom and Les Mis multiple times, so it was very exciting to know that you have been in both of those wonderful shows. What a rewarding thing for you!
Bravo! I hope you will return to Evansville or southern Illinois very soon! It was a wonderful performance in Evansville Sunday! Thank you!
From Janet Miranda:
Thanks…you reduced my daughter and I to tears atlast month’s NSO “Happy Holidays” @ the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C.!!! What an amazing rendition of “Music of the Night”, we were enraptured and leaped to our feet immediately at the conclusion of the song. I am British and in typical British fashion, tend to be a tad reserved so this was a bit out of character for me to say the least!
When are you returning to this area? We are eagerly awaiting another electrifying performance.
Dear Doug:
I saw you at the Benaroya Hall in Seattle for the Pops Holiday Concert.
I cannot even begin to express how absolutely astounded I was by your
voice, your song, your poise. You are one of the masters and certainly,
in my mind, rate as well as Pavoratti or Domingo. I couldn’t wait to
hear you sing each time when the other two singers were doing their
numbers.
Please come to Seattle more frequently!
Sincerely,
Ruth M Peterson
From Beki Stirman:
I do not have a question. I just wanted to tell you how
very much I enjoyed your performance tonight in Kingsport, Tennessee.
You were a marvelous treat, and it was worth (sort of) enduring all the
boring speeches (sorry, Kingsport Chamber of Commerce) just to hear you
at the end. Thanks!!!
Thanks so much for your kind words. I really enjoyed working with your
excellent conductor and your fine Symphony. I hope you continue to
support
their artistic endeavors, and I hope to one day sing again with the
Kingsport
Symphony.
All the best,
Doug
