![]() Willy Russell was born in Whiston, near Liverpool, England, in 1947. He has written a string of popular, award-winning plays, including Educating Rita which was successfully made into an Oscar-nominated movie starring Michael Caine and Julie Walters. However, he had never written any music before trying his hand at Blood Brothers. Read more about the history of the musical. |
