This show was absolutely AMAZING live!! From the minute the castle appeared during the Prologue, I was on the edge of my
seat. The sets were utterly breathtaking, and the special effects were even more wonderful. Someday I WILL figure out exactly
how the Beast changes back to the Prince! 🙂
Although I loved the whole show, my favorite parts would have to the beer stein dance during “Gaston”, the “If I Can’t Love
Her” scene, and the whole fight/transformation scene. I can’t count the number of times I had to catch my breath from the
excitement and beauty of the show.
And I have to admit that the show got me to cry as well, even though I knew, of course, what was going to happen. There
were so many touching moments…like the lead-in to “If I Can’t Love Her”. Seeing the Beast trying to become a kinder, more
gentle man was absolutely heartbreaking. And who can resist a great love story? 🙂
I’m so glad that the man I saw play the Beast was good…I think that is a huge part of the show. Steve made me laugh and cry
within seconds of each other! Belle bothered me a little at times – her way of speaking didn’t really fit with the rest of the show – but the rest of the cast was wonderful, especially David de Vries as Lumiere!
