I'm not sure exactly what I was expecting going in to this show, but I certainly didn't expect it to be on the scale that it is. Laurie and I also ended up sitting right next to the track, so that was an experience in itself! :-)

I found the sound a little off the night we were there - I'm not sure if it's always like that, or if they were having problems. That is, I found the balance between the singers and the music wasn't working, and I had a great deal of trouble understanding the words. Luckily I knew most of the words already, but I felt bad for Laurie, who didn't, and didn't have a clue what anybody was saying.

The cast was pretty good for the most part - we had an understudy for Rusty, but he was fine, and Jo Gibb is really cute as Pearl. When the second act began, they announced that we would have a substitution for Greaseball - that's the first time that's ever happened to me! But really, with the wig and costume and all, if they hadn't said anything, most people probably wouldn't even have noticed!

Overall, I really enjoyed the show - certainly not the most profound thing I've ever seen, but it's a lot of fun, and a great "spectacle" show. I think it would be great to take kids to.
