I hadn't actually planned to see the show this night until after the overture had begun. :-) Melanie was going to see it, and I had just planned to meet her afterwards. But a combination of feeling sorry for myself, and meeting up with Delisa and Rafaele at just the right time, led to me deciding that I really did need to see it again. :-)
The show wasn't quite as amazing as it had been the night before...Douglas just wasn't quite as on as he had been. But, as I said to Renee at intermission, you know we're spoiled when we start complaining about a performance like we had that night, which there was really nothing wrong with!
This was my first time seeing the show from the left side of the mezz, and I actually got to see the painting during the painting scene for the first time! Yay! :-) It's just always interesting to see the show from a new part of the theatre too...lots of different little things you notice.
Stage door was fun, as always, though I was really starting to grow weary of the crowds for Douglas. I can only imagine how he felt!
