Alright, I have a confession to make. I have never seen this movie. It's shocking, I know! I will watch it someday, and I will be sure to add my thoughts here on it then. In the meantime, I can tell you that the movie was released in 1962, and featured Robert Preston, reviving his role from the original Broadway cast, and Shirley Jones as Marian Paroo. The film was directed by the Broadway director, Morton Da Costa, and won an Academy Award for Best Score.
