But, the best moment came in July of 2002, when I finally got to see him on stage for myself! I had a second-row seat for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the London palladium, and it was a wonderful evening. Aside from his wonderful singing, which came as no surprise, I was really impressed with how he is *always* acting, every second he is on stage. You never once feel that he is not the character. And, of course, I had to try to meet him afterwards. Despite the large number of people at the stage door, I managed to snag a minute of his time, and he was just as gracious and kind as I'd always imagined he would be! I didn't get a picture with him, but I did take a picture for my mom and he signed a program for her, which she was really thrilled with. It was definitely worth the 8-year wait! :-)
