The setting is Sheffield England, once the "City of Steel", now home to a declining industry and unemployment. A group of men hit on an idea to raise money by putting on a strip show - though they can't dance, and aren't much to look at. Read more about the film. I didn't manage to see The Full Monty on Broadway - very remiss of me, I know - but I did catch the tour when it stopped off in Toronto! And that was more than enough to make me a fan of the show! If you're interested, here are some more specific thoughts on the performance that I saw.
